Capital Fundraising Campaign

Updated: Jun 21

OUR GOAL: RESCUE MORE FOOD, WASTE LESS FOOD, FEED MORE PEOPLE.

We are starting a new initiative and a Capital Fundraising Campaign to make it happen! We are looking for like-minded individuals who want to become a stakeholder in our organization to ensure we help eliminate food insecurity in our area.

Our pantry needs the ability to hold and store more donated food and supplies. The plan we are proposing will cut costs and allow us to help more people in this area who are food insecure. The more food we rescue, means less purchased food and will keep the costs down. To do that we need more space, both dry and cooler/freezer. When the funds are raised, we will build a new 40' x 80' building, with both a freezer/cooler space. The rough estimate for that is $200,000. That does not include electric or cement approaches. Our business model provides continuity for the pantry, provides revenue from the investments, and takes the first step toward sustainability for the pantry

With a one-time fundraising campaign, our hope is to raise $1.2 million. The need is for philanthropic stakeholders who would like to put their name or the name of a loved one on a piece of hope for the future of the Greene County Fish Pantry for years to come. The stakeholders will receive quarterly updates on our progress and the financial position of our pantry.

When you agree to put your name on our campus, buildings, truck, van, gardens, and other spaces, you are helping to secure the future of the pantry. We will invest $800,000 and the rest will go for the new building, and cooler/freezer. If you are willing to commit we can make a plan for you
